i tried to light the room as best as i could but no matter what the video looked dark. i guess that is why movie lighting is such a talent. pictures will have to suffice. this is the view from the door.

first thing we find is my desk. keith was supposed to go above my easy chair but as you will soon see there didn't turn out to be enough room. he hangs out against the wall and for now i like him there. under my desk is my old nightstand from upstairs. it houses all of my journals in the bottom and paper scraps in the top. btw, these green chairs on going to be white soon.

right now this is my pile of inspiring paper clutter coming soon to an atc near you. actually i was trying not to make atc's and work in some other medium but since i did that i've not made much of anything. clearly a bad plan.

"i love my broken shitty slow computer" it's actually not shitty but it just looks that way because it's half lap top and desktop screen. all of my utensils live in chicken broth cans.

this is the lil dude that lives on top of my computer screen. he needs a name.

ikea as usual is very smart. i don't have desk drawers but i do have these plastic trays that attach to my desk legs. they swing out whenever i need some paint or a ruler.

my oddity collection. lots of owls (i told you.) my disco ball. teeny tiny pocket bible. owl stuffie. gumby. leather apple. porcelain chinese bobblehead i got in philly's chinatown. spank someone happy paddle from pride.

moving further into the room we spy my sewing desk. that tall white thing on top of my chest of drawers is for my yarn. i have 3 of them that are going to be hung on the wall as soon as i get my butt to the depot for anchors.

i am also really into funky florals lately.

as in my old room i try to keep this desk only for non paint/glue projects. stuff like sewing, jewelry making, etc. i am getting better at sewing but i don't use this as much as i would really like.

pretty beads and fibers make me happy.

the insanity of all the little drawers of crap. i am trying to be better by labeling them.

to the left of the sewing desk is a cabinet that serves two purposes. first it houses all of my fabrics and assorted knitting/sewing supplies. but it's most important purpose is to cover this yucky open closet that has the electric boxes and water valve main thingies for the whole house. once in awhile i have to move it for lis's dad and man does that piss me off.

i just put some of my atc collection up today in a strip across the two big walls. it instantly made this room feel as fantastic as the old one. makes the room feel bigger yet cozy and full.

and further left again we come to my chair area. there are tomatoes growing right outside of that window but i guess the sun blocked them out.

i flipped this paper sorter thing on its side and am using it as my creative library. i'm going to paint it white at some point and add labels. secret obsession: my label maker.

atop the window i've got a little spiritual/personal growth thing going on. and more owls. i won this huge lot of owl figurines for $10 on shopgoodwill.com. that's right... they have auctions. pretty cheap too. i almost scored a nintendo with the gun and the duck hunt game but it went out of my price range. do you know they now make a new model that will play original nintendo and super nintendo games? sick.

behind that curtain is my treadmill. soon the curtain will be on a track. so the idea is to push the chair out of the way, slide open the curtain and use the treadmill. behind the treadmill is a closet which is covered by a similar curtain. i'm going to pin all my inspiration on it so i can focus when i workout.
also you can see my writing desk and another ugly green chair. :)

don't you just love my $15 chair. the woman that sold it to me kept a plastic cover on it so it is like new. I love the shape and the deep navy color. it's also really soft. i still can't believe i found it, usually i never get anything this perfect.

paper lanterns everywhere!

the writing desk came from the trash. the wires strung above had to stay because that's how we get internet and phone in the office. too much trouble to fix it correctly so i am using them as an art clothesline. :) and then a totally full closet. it's quite amazing that all this stuff once fit in a space 1/3rd this size.

if i send a typewritten letter would you mind? it's still paper.

owl mug i got at salvation army last year for 59 cents.

no room of mine could be complete without my precious pink yarn boobies and a clipboard of lists on the wall.
well that's the end of the tour. any questions?
